Nunez banned from five international games after clash with fans after Copa America game
On August 28, the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) ordered a five-match ban and a fine of $20,000 for Liverpool and Uruguay striker Darwin Nunez following a clash with rival fans following Uruguay’s loss to Colombia in the Copa America semifinals in the United States in July.

After the match, Colombian fans in the stands tried to shout and taunt the Uruguayan players. But Nunez revealed that the reason he lost his temper and had to climb into the stands to confront.
